Abandoned Bowater Sack Factory Ellesmere Port

 Near the M53 motorway somewhere on the North Road industrial estate sits this ageing vast abandoned warehouse,apparently it used to make paper, it has piles and piles of strange white stuff dotted about. Is this where you can collect some asbestos and put it in your pocket. Dark green coloured tarpaulin sacks outside cover something else over other huge spots.  There is a forlorn looking lamp post and some trucks parked up are they abandoned as well?

Footage from a factory that has been abandoned for decades, once producing paper. Will eventually follow it up with drone footage etc, this is the just the footage from the explore. A huge space once used for manufacturing inside as the shop floor, a walk along the eerie long corridoors on two floors running parallel to it to the soundtrack of the broken glass and crunching debris underfoot where the daily grind of office work and bosses used to reside, a long forgotten accounts department and a planning department announces itself by an aged sign, plants grow inside a room which has become a de facto greenhouse, most windows don't need the glass they used to have, they are just a slightly unconventional way to get in and out of the building with the doors themselves long boarded up.
A group of lads had just done their explore as I was going in, they were organised, one lad scoping the place out and radioing back to the others, I found an obliging hole in the fence, small enough that I had to take my coat off and pass it back through and delved in.

Bowaters Sack Factory on Abandoned TV

An eerie long corridoor lines the whole length of the building on its two floors. Crunching bits of detritus and broken glass are underfoot throughout.

Has all the abandoned buildings bingo set in one in this room, peeling paint, broken window, ceiling plaster caved in, some odd looking beam at perpendicular angle.

The floors are interconnected by staircases at a couple of points but not quite enough which makes it more eerie.

The huge shop floor, and abandoned offices upstairs, see in video for more.  Someone has innovated a swing, making the once heavily work based environment much more bohemian.
